Though Sunday December 11th 2011 was an overcast day, the Beat Swap meet was still thumpin with funk and hip-hop. The swap meet was free for all ages to enjoy. With vendors, DJs, live art, food and a dance floor, there was plenty going on at the Chinatown, Los Angeles event. So weather your an old school cat or a new school kid there was something to see or do. People were showing their best moves from popping and breaking for the B-Boy contest or grooving at one of the DJ booths.
There were scratch contests, a DJ academy and plenty of vinyls for all you crate diggers. The swap meet opened at noon and the festivities ended around 6pm. Vendors, artists and musicians alike had a chance to display their talents and sell their art.
