Desmond's Piece of Mind

All i'm saying is it's up to us. I mean we could stand by idly wearing the suit of complacency complaining to ourselves and colleagues at shows & gatherings about how hiphop isn't what it was, sure all i have to do is refresh my newsfeed out of this one and that what i got. A collective of Fed Up Individuals who individually don't know the direction to navigate hiphop back to where it remotely came from (and i say with respect to the Collective Conscience Awareness) and how we as consumers drove the market as to what was played (on the radio) rather than this BS we have, where Labels pay these station and DJ's to play there records that they see fit. How do you discuss creativity with someone who spent they're whole adult life dealing in numbers? Answer you can't because they have folks they answer to at an administrative level and these are the folks driving "mainstream music". Put the power back in the hands of the consumers and let them determine "what they think is dope" if you gave the average human a choice (and i say this with Faith in humanity) they'd identify with the music that discusses struggle cuz let's face it "life isn't easy" that's why i feel like it's our civic duty to do something. What i'm purposing isn't far fetched i've discussed this very subject in great detail with some of the folks in this feed and if folks can set ego aside for the greater good then i mean Hip-Hop can ensure it's place in the History Books with credible and responsible people involved in it's preservation. (This is just my Theory: Any good Theory is Unproven)
