Someone gave me the opportunity speak intelligently about some of what is important (Hip-Hop, Culture, Art, Converting Oxygen to Carbon Dioxide, Individuality, Creative Process, Relativity, Politricks, Insects, Bubble Gum, and a whole lot of other poop) and that only as far as I'm concerned.

Valid question. My birth certificate say's Desmond David Montoya and in my 33 years I've had several alias's but, with over 20 years of Identifying as an M.C. (A master of ceremonies (MC or emcee), or compere, is the official host of a staged event or similar performance. An MC usually presents performers, speaks to the audience, and generally keeps the event moving. An MC may also tell jokes or anecdotes. The MC sometimes also acts as the protocol officer during an official state function. In hip hop music, rock music and electronic dance music, an MC is a music artist and/or performer who usually creates and performs vocals for his/her own original material.) Emcee Ewok One was the "Alias" that stuck.
ARTIST BIO
His career span's a large time period, but being a "late bloomer" (as far as his Career in Recording and Distributing his Music) only gave him more incentive to get it done correctly. So as an Emcee there's some things he had to learn regarding Rhyme, Rhythm & Delivery. Being witty and observant served him well in Battles & Cyphers, which he use to frequent (between 93-99 spots like U.N.I.T.Y, Project Blowed, Foundation, Beats-Rhymes & Life, Elements, etc) & now does again, for the further advancement of his career. As long as he keeps that in mind, "stay grounded, humble, he feels he can play a vital role in maintaining the structural integrity of the beloved Culture".
MORE ABOUT M.C. EWOK ONE
Emcee Ewok One one was born Desmond Montoya on the 10th of September in the year 1979 in Hawaiian Gardens. Raised by his Grandparents in the city of Norwalk with his Older Brother's having a strong Musical Influence on him, Oldest Brother Kevin played Both Alto/Tenor Saxophone in his High School Jazz Band while other Older Brother Eugene was the DJ of a 1980's Party Crew both becoming the Catalyst of where his Love for Music evolved. So at a young age being exposed to an Eclectic Array of Jazz as well as Breaks he felt a Natural Attraction towards Hip Hop and the Elements attributed.
Saying a whole lot without having to say a whole lot, say's something to the m.c. Ewok "persona" he envelop's. "Music's a universal communication, so when we create from pure silence what we channel, and not to mention how we communicate it as well should be determined by the artist". So he utilizes the resources available like Revernation and others to further advance his "freedom of expression" in an attempt to establish his art in the history of music. In his pursuit towards being an established Independent Artist he's overcame many challenging obstacles and evolved into now not only a Lyricist but Music Producer/ Graphic Design/ Music Engineering as well. Working with talented individuals who share the same ambitions also help nurture his creative process.
A TRUE MASTER OF CEREMONIES
m.c. Ewok one embodies the true meaning of what a m.c. means. Not only has he rocked mic’s but he has hosted at one of Pomona’s hottest venue’s from March 2011 - October 2011. While he was paying dues and establishing his name in Hip Hop, he had worked and kept close relationships with several promoters. Jelani the events promoter and founder of Da Ill Spot and who is also associated with The Noise Academy extended the opportunity for him to be the new host of Da Ill Spot. m.c. Ewok one hosted his first gig at the Crew on Crew song battle. You can catch the monthly Hip hop show which takes place every 3rd Friday at the Aladdin Jr. II. In Pomona, CA
More recently in February of 2012 i was granted the opportunity to Host a Show with a Non-Profit Online Radio Station OptionX Radio so i named my Show "Audibly Legible" Tuesday's at 7 p.m.

Until February 2011 i preformed as a Solo Artist in a sleuth of show's i was "rocking" at the time. I did one at a place named "Jakes Burgers" in Pasadena called "Word Play Thursday" Hosted by Namek & Arkyve from a Local Group named "Chamber Records". It was there i caught a Performance from another Local Group named "Weapon of the Masses" that blew my proverbial mind. They're cadence, rhyme, rhythm, and delivery was out of context with what the underground sounded like at that time (and still does). I automatically identified with there brand of Hip-Hop. Little did i know they were stoked by my attention to the Elements as well later confirmed outside over a cigarette where i found out we were neighbors at the time and thought maybe a "collaboration" might be in order. After a couple "collab's" and show's together the member Dubler aka Black Xmass said to me after Rocking the Stage together at the Rehab in IE "As far as I concerned Ewok's a Weapon" Ed & Trav said yup and it was official. The rest is history.

And in September of 2012 the Crew became the Newest Members of another Crew "C.O.L.A" short for "Creators Of Lost Art"
-Established in 2000. C.O.L.A., (Creators of the Lost Arts), was created to provide an outlet of resources, tools and information for inspiring independent artists within the Hiphop culture, that DO NOT wish to become "mainstream" and strive to be unconfined to constraints. We accept artists from all 5 basic elements of HipHop. What started out as a project has now expanded to full on production from Beats, Screen Printing, CD Duplication to Recording and Mastering.
We started off independent and will remain independent...
So this is my back round that lead me to this position i was extended by Milinda, Corrin, and Justin who i'm sure you all know are the faces of Piece Magazine and Genuinely Good Friends of mine . So in the words of my favorite Emcee (Aceyalone) "This is the shape of things to come". Let's make Desmond's Piece of Mind, Piece Magazine and OptionX and Huskey Radio, Weapon of the Masses, m.c. Ewok one household names.
